This notice explains what Zindora does with personal data collected through this website. Zindora is the data controller and is registered in Kenya.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, optionally your organisation, the topic you select and your message. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share this with anyone.
Why
To read your message and reply to it. Nothing else.
How long
We keep correspondence while it is useful to the conversation, and delete it on request.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@zindora.org and we will action it.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful. Nothing is stored on your device unless you accept: analytics storage is switched off by default, and the banner is the only thing that turns it on. Decline and no analytics cookie is ever set.
If you accept, two cookies are set (_ga and
_ga_QL3PMGXM9T) so that repeat visits are not counted as new people.
They hold a random identifier, not your name or email. You can clear them at any
time in your browser, which resets the choice and shows you the banner again.
We record which pages are read, and when someone clicks an email link or successfully sends the contact form. We do not use advertising cookies, we never enable ad personalisation or ad data sharing, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Your IP address is anonymised before it reaches Google.
Fonts
Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them. No cookie is set by that request.
Map data
Coastline and country geometry used in the visualisations on this site comes from Natural Earth, which is in the public domain. Earth Observation missions referred to on this site are operated by the European Space Agency and the European Commission under the Copernicus programme; Zindora operates no satellites.
