What we do

Awareness is not participation.

Plenty of young people already understand the climate problem. Far fewer are in the rooms where decisions about it get made, and understanding alone does not put them there. Our work is about the gap between those two things.

The challenge

Three gaps, not one

  1. 01

    A capability gap

Knowing that climate change matters is different from being able to read a budget, chair a meeting, brief an official, or hold a position under pressure. Those are learnable skills and they are rarely taught.

  2. 02

    An access gap

Even a well-prepared young leader needs a door. Consultations happen on timetables nobody published, in rooms nobody was invited to, in language designed to be difficult.

  3. 03

    An evidence gap

Lived experience of drought, flooding or displacement is real evidence, but it is treated as anecdote unless someone helps turn it into a form an institution will accept.

Our model

Lead. Inform.
Connect. Influence.

  1. 01

    Lead

Build the leadership capabilities young people need to participate effectively in public and climate-related decision-making.

  2. 02

    Inform

Connect young leaders with climate knowledge, policy understanding, evidence and lived experience.

  3. 03

    Connect

Create pathways between young leaders, communities, institutions and decision-makers.

  4. 04

    Influence

Help young leaders translate participation, knowledge and leadership into meaningful public action.

    Pathways to Decision-Making

Creating opportunities for young people and communities to engage institutions and decision-makers.

  • 04

    Leadership Networks

Connecting young leaders, organisations, communities and institutions around shared challenges.

How we work

Small, specific, documented.

We would rather run one programme properly and write down what happened than announce a portfolio. Our published work will grow slowly, and everything on it will be something that actually took place.

It also means we will say when something did not work. Learning that stays inside an organisation is not learning, it is filing.
